Don't Support the Spread of Communism

 

For whatever bizarre reason, many so called Conservatives are against supporting the Ukraine in its fight to maintain its independence from formerly Communist Russia. Why? It defies reason. Russia is the natural enemy of the United States. Its President Vladimir Putin is a former KGB agent and former member of the Communist Party. If he had his way, the USSR would be alive and well. So why would people claiming to hate Communism and Socialism support this man, the poster child for Communism and Socialism against an independent Republic? I cannot answer that other than to say they are not true Conservatives. If they were, they would support anything that might take Vladimir Putin out of power.

Now I am not saying I support the billions in aid given to the Ukraine. But I do not support aid to any foreign country. I do though support the Ukraine in its fight for its independence.  But that support is because I will fight Communism and Socialism anywhere I see it. I will never be convinced that I should support Russia, its ideologies, and especially not its President. He is the enemy, not the Ukraine. And the sooner you get that through your heads the better.
