Occam's Razor And Conspiracy

 The idea behind Occam's Razor is that, "Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily."  Essentially it means the simpler the explanation for something, the more likely it is to be so. So that if you had two separate explanations for an event, the simpler explanation is more likely to be true than the more complex one. It's nothing new. It has existed since the 15th Century, and has been applied to deductive reasoning ever since. Nature loves simplicity so it always takes the easiest way even to do the most complex things.

So what does Occam's Razor mean for conspiracy theorists? It means that the more complex, far fetched  explanations probably are not true. For example, lets look at the pyramids in Egypt. The simpler explanation is that the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids without need of modern tech.  The more complex theory is, that despite no evidence of alien contact, aliens came to Earth and built the pyramids. Using Occam's Razor, the idea the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids wins out.

So while there probably is a world wide conspiracy, if Occam's Razor were applied many conspiracy theories would fall by the wayside. That is we must look to the simpler ones. So what might be the simpler explanations? For that we must look at what might be the motivation for a conspiracy to control the world. The main motivators in my mind would be greed and a desire for power. As no cults of personality as was with Adolph Hitler have arisen, we can probably rule out power. So we must look to greed. And instead of the perpetrators desiring to control the world operating in secret like the Illuminati or the secret societies we must look at the obvious, things that are right in front of our face.

The fact is, only 11 large corporations control the world economy. They're on paper, we see their ads everyday, we buy their products everyday. They are out in the open. If there are plans for a New World Order it's not by some secret cabal or members of the government, it is by these 11 corporations. And we are not looking at plans for a single totalitarian government ruling the entire world, but rather something worse, economic control. It's already happened. You no choice really but to buy their products as they killed all competition. They eliminated through unfair trade practices and rigging government regulations smaller companies that offer the same products often at a lower price. 

The question is how did it happen? The answer is clear. The Republican Party tied the idea that corporatism is the American Dream. They made Patriots want to protect who is in truth their enemy with silly ideas like trickle down economics. Many a person who rages against the New World Order will jump to attack any idea of raising corporate taxes or the idea that corporate welfare is the real problem with the United States government's budget. The sad truth is though until we raise taxes on the major corporations and get rid of the handouts we give them we will not have a balanced budget. Folks the world we live in today is not to blame on the Illuminati or some secret cabal or even welfare moms, but on 11 corporations that have bought politicians to make laws favorable to their survival. Want your quality of life to improve? Demand the return of a free market, demand an end to corporate handouts, start growing your own food, producing your own products. It's the only way we will ever win.
